METROPOLITAN HOTEL
Located in the prestigious Park Lane in London, with Hyde Park just across the road, the Metropolitan hotel is a retreat in the heart of this busy city. Serene and calm, it’s the perfect place to enjoy your first night as a Mr and Mrs. With its light palette of colours and contemporary furnishing, its going to be a welcome contrast from all the pomp and colour of the Big Day.
The key to this hotel and the one thing that seriously makes it stand out from others is its phenomenal attention to detail. From the moment you enter through its doors to the moment you walk into your beautiful room, you know that every last thing has been thought of.
From the different types of blankets, quilts and pillows, which pander to any individuals sensitivities to the wake up call, which allows for a snooze follow up call, it’s the little things you’ll love. The beds are huge and so comfortable, you’ll just get enveloped by its Egyptian cotton folds whilst you listen to your ipod in the provided high-end ipod dock. Unlike a lot of cramped over bearing and stuffy places, the Metropolitan is spacious in comparison whilst still managing to remain cosy. Bathrooms feature frosted glass and features products from Como Shambhala, which has its own urban retreat in the hotel as well.
But if there’s one room you should really try to book it’s the amazing penthouse suite, with its amazing wrap around views of Hyde Park. It also has a freestanding shower and expansive bathroom, and amazing balcony that leads into its very own Japanese rock Garden. Simply stunning and worth every penny.
The hotels Japanese flavour doesn’t just end there, as its restaurant is none other than the world renowned Nobu. The Chocolate Bento Box is to die for, and with its constant stream of celebrities every night you never know who might be agreeing with you. If you fancy a fabulous cocktail or two before you take off for your honeymoon, enjoy the start of your evening at the uber Met Bar, you’ll soon be feeling like you’ve stepped into the pages of a magazine yourself.
